The D in ABCDE means that the diameter of the mole is greater than 6mm and the large nodular melanoma size can lead to pain and sensitivity in the region. Whenever you encounter the nodular melanoma symptoms of evolution of the mole, making up the E in ABCDE, you can say that the case is malignant.
