Problem of Nodular Melanoma
The problem of nodular melanoma is something that cannot be ignored as it is one type of skin cancer that can be fatal, if left untreated. Basically, the nodular melanoma is a condition that comprises of 15% of the cases that are registered under the category of melanoma. The nodular melanoma prognosis can be exceptionally hard, because there is almost no pigmentation in some cases and mild pigmentation in others. Unlike other types of melanomas, nodular melanoma differs in growth and it is known to move inwards into the skin, rather than taking the lateral path over the skin. The condition of nodular melanoma is extremely serious and should be addressed with immediate medical care.
Major Nodular Melanoma Symptoms
The major nodular melanoma symptoms are related to and remembered by a simple mnemonic of ABCDE. A stands for an asymmetrical skin lesion that is clearly present in the nodular melanoma cases. B stands for the irregular border of the area of the lesion. The Color is something that is found to be varying across different cases of nodular melanoma. There are cases where the nodular melanoma can be clearly seen in the form of brown or dark blue pigmentation. However, there are some cases where there is almost no pigmentation, making the nodular melanoma prognosis extremely difficult. The D in ABCDE means that the diameter of the mole is greater than 6mm and the large nodular melanoma size can lead to pain and sensitivity in the region. Whenever you encounter the nodular melanoma symptoms of evolution of the mole, making up the E in ABCDE, you can say that the case is malignant. It is important that you pursue the right nodular melanoma treatment at the earliest and take care of this case of skin cancer as soon as possible.
